Big Galoot is a five piece band performing twangy, high octane surf guitar instrumentals, rocked-up alt country, and a variety of other genre-hopping tunes that pop in from time to time. We focus on original music, augmented by a repertoire of mostly obscure covers by friends, mentors, and ex-wives.
Formed by the Determined Luddite Duo of Dan and Dan, Big Galoot started in 1998 with their first gig at the Nimbus Brewery in the warehouse district in Tucson. Following much success in the Tucson area, Big Galoot cut its debut CD in spring 2000, called All Over the Map.
